Chair covers, made to be lived with
We make one thing well: a tailored stretch cover that turns a tired dining chair into something worth looking at. It comes in a curated set of woven patterns, it's sold in sets of four, and it's meant to go in the machine on Monday.
What we make
Chairisma is a small range on purpose. One product — a fitted dining chair cover — done in a curated set of designs, from quiet damasks and baroque scrolls to bolder Art-Deco, botanical and celestial patterns. Every cover is sold as a set of four.
We would rather get a dozen designs right than list a hundred. If a pattern isn't on the site, we haven't made it yet.
The pattern is the point
Our patterns are woven into the cloth, not printed on top of it. That is the whole idea. It is what gives a Chairisma cover its depth and quiet sheen, and it is what stops a chair cover from reading as a chair cover — so a set at your table looks considered, not like an afterthought thrown over the seat.
It also does something practical. A woven jacquard holds its colour and doesn't crack or peel along the folds the way a surface print does after thirty washes.
The fabric
Washed soft, made to stretch
A Chairisma cover is cut from a high-stretch spandex jacquard. Four-way stretch lets it hug the seat and back for a smooth, tailored line, and an elastic hem tucks under the seat so nothing slips or bunches.
Made to a specification
Each cover is a fitted slipcover with a skirted hem, built to fit most standard straight-backed dining and parsons chairs — backs roughly 14 to 22 inches wide. Sold in sets of four.
It fits most chairs, not every chair.
We are not going to tell you it fits everything. It is made for standard straight-backed chairs; deep armchairs and unusually wide or low backs are where it struggles. If you are between sizes, measure first — or write to us and we will tell you straight.
It washes and goes back on.
Wash cold, air dry, and don't iron the pattern. It is fade- and wrinkle-resistant, so it goes back on looking the way it did the first time.
How we work
Chairisma designs the range and specifies it; the covers are produced to that specification by a manufacturing partner we work with directly. We are not a mill and we don't pretend to be one. What we control is the design, the colourways, the measurements and the quality standard each batch has to meet before it ships.
Orders are fulfilled to the United States and to most of Europe, Asia-Pacific and Canada. Shipping within the United States is free over $75; expedited and international rates are shown at checkout and set out on our FAQ page (https://getchairisma.com/pages/faq).
